Vintage - Antique LARGE POODLE PAIR Expressive Black Figurine Statues with Gold Rhinestone Studded Collars This pair came from an estate collection. These are good sized figurine statues that make their presence known.....standing approximately 11" and lying approximately 7" tall. I chose to leave them as a pair since they have obviously been together for many years and they display very nicely as a pair with their varying poses. Please see all the photos in zoom for your best study and more of the size measurements / comparisons. IDK if they are the vintage Atlantic mold poodles or not. Neither is marked or signed, but they definitely are at least Mid-Century era if not older. They possibly could be the older ones that Atlantic Mold made their molds from. All-in-all a really attractive pair that are black-black in person, but photos were lightened a bit to show the detail. Their real gold 22kt painted collars have all the original rhinestones intact. Their brown eyes feature set glass or plastic irises for color and they are original and securely fixed to the ceramic. Condition: Very good. No cracks or repaired broken parts. I found those little scrapes on their hind top legs that had the paint touched up as I was dusting them off (blown-up and shown in photos with remarks), and there is some light crazing in the surface. They could use a little more detail cleaning of all their little nooks and crannies. The bottoms appear to have been covered with felt or fabric at one time, but it has fallen off at some point as they did not have any when I found them. The bases really show the age of the pieces and are what make me wonder if these are indeed older than the Atlantic Mold poodles. See all the photos and make your own decisions. Shipping: Large heavy figurines at 4 lbs not packaged. Once properly packaged they will be in a large box with lots of paper and cardboard to protect them.
